Why Can’t You See?

I see you every day.

You talk to me and life seems okay.

You look at me with smiling eyes,

But deep down, I know it’s all lies.

You make it seem like I’m the one for you.

And I really want to think that it’s true.

When I see you, you take my breath away,

Especially with all the amazing things that you say.

You always say that you love me

And how we are meant to be.

Deep down I want this love to be real.

I wish you could understand the way that I feel.
