Paul Sears

The
ball is on the Tigers’ 20-yard line and is snapped. It is 56 counter. Nick Lockhart, # 68, just
provided a perfect swap, which gives # 25 just enough room to run. He is on the 40, the 30, the 20, the 10. Number 25 did it; he made an 80-yard run
touchdown!
The
mysterious # 25 is none other than senior Paul Sears.
“Paul is a cool cat,” said
Coach Shupe. “I would consider him to be
a good role model because Paul is always doing the right thing.”
Paul
believes his key to success lies with the creative and inspirational words of
Chuck Norris – oh, and his friends who help him “keep on keeping on.”
“I
believe Paul could run the ball without me swamping on 56 because Paul is just
that good,” said Nick, who Paul describes as his “manbeast.” “Paul Sears is a majestic person.”
Beyond
high school football, Paul has big plans.
“I
want to go to college to continue getting a higher education,” said Paul. “I want to get a degree in wildlife
management because after all, I love being outside, hunting, fishing, working
on vehicles, and occasionally, I like to fight.”
This
football-loving, self-described “beefcake” is much more than a running back for
the football team. Paul has man love for
his teammates, coach, friends, but also his family.
“What
really keeps me going is my mom,” said Paul.
“She died three years ago, and I know she would want me to keep going.”
