Alyssa Gregory, freshman, has blondish-red loosely-curly hair, is not too skinny (most definitely not fat) and is still growing. Born on Nov. 28th, 1993, in Kingfisher, Okla., Alyssa has brothers and sisters. Her brothers range from ages seven to 31 and her sisters are 19, 17, and 6.

At the age of two, Alyssa was diagnosed with cancer. When she turned nine, the doctors told her the disease was gone. Still scared that it would return, Alyssa put her faith and trust in God.

Alyssa’s favorite book is The Borrowers. Having first learned how to read from her grandma, Alyssa now usually reads anything she picks up, especially books by Charles Dickens.

“People become great readers by practicing,” said Alyssa.

With her blondish-red loosely curly hair, Alyssa said, ”I am a reader that is only half-way through the book!”
