 “Sara Lou Ann walked slowly toward us leaning on her bright silver walker.  Her body looked like a social studies map with blue veins running all over.  Her limp pale skin jiggled with every step.  With baby blue eyes, she took in the scene and started to give us her one-of-a-kind smile.  But when her thin lips moved apart, her dentures plopped out.”

 “Looking at her reflection, she lifts up a strip of her long blonde hair, seeing a lot of blood that is dry and wet, a big bruise on her forehead with dark purple-reddish polka-dotted blood on the bruise, tears streaming down her dark black eye as it hurts to blink. The left ear has part of it missing from the broken-beer bottle hitting her and slicing a piece off.  Her slit lips sting while the blood sits in the cracks. She looks at her purple-tipped chin, cries, and wants to pass.”
