Pro/Con: PDA

The Good Side of PDA
By Brittny Wanko

Love haters make me sick!  Hugs, kisses, and hand holding aren’t lethal drugs.  People should be free to express their care and love for others whether it is at home or in a school hallway.  As long as it stays minimal and doesn’t turn rated-R or interfere with others, then I see no problem.  As for people who feel “offended” by public displays off affection, just keep drinking your Hateraide and stay jealous that you’re left out.  For those of you who are love struck, keep kissing on (in moderation, of course).

The Bad Side of PDA
By Ouida Nash

Some people insist on showing affection in the hallways during school. Some teachers don’t stop anything. The more and more I see it, the sicker I get. A little kiss doesn’t hurt anyone, but when someone shows PDA, it looks like two crazy squirrels hanging by their tails in a tree.

It doesn’t look good for the school when a parent comes to visit and teens are standing against lockers and making out nonstop. People can’t get into their lockers and when they run through the hallways trying not to be late for class, these love-sick couples are in the way. Some walk by and think, “What has this school become?” I really don’t want to see it so please stop!
